The talent pool in the Telugu Film Industry is so high that you often get confused which individual to choose for a particular task. The same is the case with the department of singers and each day, new names are getting added. While that is so, the other fact is there are still many seniors who still rule the roost.
First name in that list is that of Gaana Gandharva S P Balasubramanyam. Even today he can sing well and he is able to reproduce the old classics with the same energy. Point is, he is still in full form but this generation’s music directors are not giving him a chance. However, one director has proved to be an exception.
He is none other than Satish Vegesna. He is making it a point to make SPB sing in his movies. For instance, in ‘Shatamanam Bhavati’, SPB sang ‘Nilavade madhi nilavadhe…’ and it became a big chartbuster. In ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam’ the title song was rendered by Balu and it rocked. That way, SPB’s talent still continues and the latest two songs are the example. That credit goes to Satish. All those directors who grew up listening to Balu’s songs are not giving him any chance. How can that be respect? They should look at Satish and learn.
