NOTA Movie First Day Collections

October 06, 2018 - 01:08 PM IST Nota

Vijay Devarakonda’s political drama NOTA has opened to disappointing box-office collections. The Anand Shankar-directed film made in two languages—Tamil and Telugu- got released amid huge expectations and strong buzz.

The most-awaited film hasn’t fared well at all as far as Vijay’s previous track record goes. According per the trade analysts, NOTA collected Rs 4.55 Cr (share) & Rs 6.8 Cr (gross) from two Telugu-speaking states. The overseas market also has failed to throw up some good numbers to Rowdy boy’s flick – NOTA. While the US box-office added 0.75 Cr through the premieres, the film managed to fetch 2.05 Cr on first day from other parts of country. These numbers took the overall first day share to 7.3 Cr.

With the above figures, NOTA shows no sign of a grand weekend for Vijay unlike his previous blockbusters Geetha Govindham and Arjun Reddy. To sum it put on actor’s part, this is a minor setback for the young and emerging talent of South India whose previous film ‘Geetha Govindham’ joined 100-Cr club.
