Hero-Villain Confusion In '2.0'

When the character sketch is designed for a movie it is important for the director to establish a clear contrast in the hero and villain. If there is no clear conflict point between the two, the entire plot fails and disappoints the audience. The impact would be more fatal if it is a big budget flick featuring very big stars.

The latest release ‘2.0’ has style samrat Rajnikanth as the hero while the charming star Akshay Kumar is the antagonist. After watching the movie, one big discussion has started. Many are trying to figure out who is the hero and who is the villain. This discussion has come after looking at the way Akki’s character has been designed.

He is upset about how birds are getting killed by humans and hence he takes the side of the birds killing humans. On the other end, with a strong belief that humans should not be killed, on their side is Rajini. Overall, the sympathy wave is going to Akshay and this is a big flaw in the movie. A villain should generate hatred upon him but the reverse happened. This is going to give a death blow to the film’s prospects.
