For any movie to garner the right kind of attention from the audience and the required response on the release day, a good amount of hype is required. There are many strategies adopted by movie teams prior to release to create that hype. However, the big league movies don’t have to take that much load.
The moment people know it is a big star film, the hype gets generated automatically. However, that seems to have become a thing of the past. Even for big movies the hype tension has come and gone are those days when brands and names did the job. In a way, this effect is being seen post the magnum opus ‘Baahubali’.
Even a much bigger movie like ‘2.0’ also could not generate that hype and even the post openings hype also didn’t stand. Now, we have a lineup of biggies such as ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’, the biopic on great N T Rama Rao and ‘Saaho’. If the hype is not next level it would be very tough to hold talk post-release.
