Padmalaya Studios was one of the topmost in Telugu film industry during 70’s to 90’s. It was started by Krishna, father of Telugu Superstar Mahesh Babu. They produced many hit films in Telugu and many of the movies were later remade in Hindi on the same banner.


Later on, people gradually forgot the studio as the next generation been techno-savvy and were looking for the latest equipment for film production. Now it is the turn of Mahesh Babu to venture into some film exhibition business and he has done it in style, collaborating with the Asian group, he started the AMB cinemas (Asian Mahesh Babu Cinemas) in Gachibowli.


AMB Cinemas, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and décor, chose Rajinikanth’s recently released 2.0 for its first show. Mahesh Babu was apparently awaiting the release of the big-budget movie to take the plunge into the film distribution business.

The posh movie hall is in all praise from those who watched movie 2.0 there, these include top director Ram Gopal Varma. According to sources the cinemas having the latest technology and equipment, AMB Cinemas has a stunning lounge for patrons and a top class interval point. We wish Mahesh Babu all the best in his latest venture.
