After a long time, here comes one film from Bollywood, that has attracted Telugu filmmakers. Bareily Ki Barfi, the film which was released in 2017, which has Ayushmann Khurrana, Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles, is now being remade in Telugu.

The original film has seen tremendous collections at the box office and so, this increased confidence in Telugu filmmakers, to bag the rights. Kona Venkat is also producing Anushka and Madhavan’s upcoming film Silence, which is expected to be a thriller. It is expected that the remake project would go on floors once this film is wrapped up. The Telugu script of the film is underway and the cast is yet-to-be finalised. Sources suggested that Kona Venkat and People Media Factory have teamed up and bought the Telugu remake rights of Bareily Ki Barfi.

This film is actually based on a French Novel ‘The Ingredients of Love’. While the screenplay and script are being localised, based on the nativity, the producers are looking for suitable actors.
