Art Directors Rama Krishna Sabbani and wife Monica are happy now as they have gained the fame, credit and the support from the industry and respect from their fans and that too only after the release of Rangasthalam. The couple had worked together since films like Andala Rakshasi and more, but they never got the credit they deserved.
The couple had worked for Antariksham 9000 KMPH, which is releasing on December 21 and the couple has said that Rangasthalam has given them a lot of confidence and helped in bagging many offers this year. “I was given a Nandi Award for Andala Rakshasi after five years of the release of the film. I never looked forward to awards, but wanted some support, recognition and appreciation from the industry. Glad that we could get it now, at least.
Though we worked for more than fifteen films before Rangasthalam, nobody noticed our work,” said Ramakrishna. Asked about why they were out of NTR biopic, they said that there were clashes with dates as the film was off the floors for a long time. “Directors also changed and that played the major part. We even shot the first schedule. But things did not work out later,” he added.
The couple is also working for Yatra, which is releasing on February 8 and also for The Nambi Effect, which has Madhavan in lead role.
