Sacrificing his superstar image and movie career, Powerstar Pawan Kalyan has forayed into the mainstream politics in 2014 and launched Jana Sena. Though his party did not contest last time, Jana Senani has time and again said that he will contest to all the assembly and Lok Sabha seats in 2019.
The Election Commission on Saturday allotted a 'glass tumbler' as the election symbol for Jana Sena party (JSP). The JSP at various instances has exposed the problems of AP people in last four years. Few months ahead of polls, this is one big milestone for JSP to reach out to larger sections of people with a party Symbol.
With the common symbol, Jana Sena party can contest in all the 25 Parliamentary segments in Andhra Pradesh and 17 Parliamentary constituencies in Telangana state. The Central Election Commission released a notification in this regard on Saturday night. Besides Jana Sena party, the Central Election Commission (CEC) has allotted election symbols to 29 other newly registered political parties across the country.
