Sachiin Joshi made his Telugu debut with Mounamelanoyi in the year 2002 and the same year, he released another film called Ninu Choodaka Nenundalenu. After a break of three years, he was seen in Orey Pandu, Nee Jathaga Nenundali, Mogali Puvuu, Veedevadu and now Amavasya in 2019.

Amavasya is the Telugu version of Amavas, which is a Hindi film. It is directed by Bhushan Patel, who has made films like 1920- A love Story, Ragini MMS 2 and others. Sachiin is pretty confident that this film of Bhushan, is going to be as scary as the rest of his films. Sachiin plays the role of Karan, a business man in the film and he has also produced the movie.

Talking about the VFX of the film, Sachiin Joshi said, “We haven’t compromised anywhere about the production quality. We wanted to make the best and I think we did. Glad to be playing a key role in the making.”

Most of the film was shot in London only because of the castle they were looking for. Sachiin and Bhushan also said that the castle was even haunted.

“I am happy to be back to Hyderabad, the place which has given me life. Good to have been meeting people here. I insisted on the director to make this film in Telugu also. I am happy to be part of this film which is an out and out horror thriller which is going to leave the audience with a chill in their spine,” he added.
