Vicky Kaushal's URI: The Surgical Strike, which released on 11th January is continuing its solid momentum in its fourth week of release. The film is rewriting the records at the box-office and it even surpassed Baahubali-2 collections for day-23 and day-24.
Generally, the box-office figures of any film see a dip after a couple weeks of release, but URI is still managing to attract audiences to the theatres. The film based on Surgical strikes conducted by Indian armed forces has grossed a whopping Rs 281.73 Crores by end of Monday (February 4th). Interestingly, the film which collected Rs 8.25 Cr on the first day of release, minted 6.53 Cr on 23rd day and Rs 8.71 Cr on the 24th day.
Doesn't that tell us URI's box office potential? Even the country's biggest blockbuster Baahubali did not achieve this feat. The second part of SS Rajamouli's Baahubali, which collected 1810 Cr globally, has made 6.35 Cr on day-23 and 7.80 Cr on day-24.
The film, written and directed by Aditya Dhar, is made on a budget of 45 Cr and it went on to gain a phenomenal response from critics and viewers all over the world.
