In this week of Eid, we may not have a star hero's film at the box-office (in Telugu) but there are some interesting set of movies to catch. And, there is a Bhai's film coming for Eid. On that note, let us take a look at the list of movies releasing this week:
Seven (Telugu): Nuvvila and Genius fame Havish, who was out of action from last few months, is gearing up to light the screens with his latest film Seven. The romantic thriller, directed by Nizar Shafi, has six actresses including Regina Cassandra, Aditi Arya, Nanditha Swetha, Anisha Ambrose, Poojitha Ponnada & Tridha Choudhary. It's the mysterious story of a boy named Karthik who's linked up with various women. But, an old man claims that Karthik was his old friend named Krishnamurthy, who passed away three decades ago. Releasing on 5th June, the film is going to be an interesting thriller and we will get to know if he is Karthik or Krishnamurthy!
Hippi (Telugu): After the super success of RX100, Karthikeya is coming to theatres with Hippi. This romantic comedy, which has Digangana Suryavanshi as a leading lady, is hitting screens on 6th June. Hippi, made by Kollywood filmmaker T.N Krishna, is bankrolled by Kabali producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu. Going by trailer, Hippi is likely to offer a good amount of romance, comedy, and action. Hippi marks the comeback of senior hero JD Chakravarthy.
Killer (Telugu): Killer, Kolaigaran in Tamil, is made by Andrew Louis. The action thriller features Vijay Anthony and Action King Arjun Sarja in key roles and it is lighting screens on June 7th. Killer is the story of a man named Prabhakar, who is highly intelligent, and how he turns into a killer for his one-sided love.
Bharat (Hindi): The Salman Khan starrer which is a remake of a Korean film 'An Ode to My Father', features Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Nora Fatehi, Tabu, and Sunil Grover as part of the main cast. The film narrates love story with Salman- Katrina, and his pain at the time of India's partition. Jackie Shroff will be seen as Salman's father who gets disassociated at the time of India-Pakistan partition. Going by the trailer, Bharat is about the promise Salman made to his father and the pain that keeps him going for all these years. It is an Ali Abbas Zafar directorial which has music by Vishal-Shekhar and Julius Packiam. It is slated for worldwide release on June 5, to coincide with Eid (Ramzan).
X-Men: Dark Phoenix (English): Dark Phoenix is the twelfth installment in X-Men series. It has got a wide star cast like James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Sophie Turner, Evan Peters, Jessica Chastain, and others. Simon Kinberg has directed and co-produced the superhero film, which is a sequel to 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse. This action fantasy film is releasing on 5th June, in 2D and 3D.
