It's like a huge cyclone striking theatres when a Superstar Rajinikanth's movie releases in India. To be precise, Rajinikanth's immense craze has no boundaries. Because his films get a massive release in other parts of the globe apart from India. But, the China distributor of his Rajinikanth's last outing '2.0' has backed off fearing the release of Disney's  'Lion King'.

The distributor of 2.0 in China, HY Media, has decided to cancel the release of the movie, which is scheduled for release on July 12. Though 'Lion King' is releasing on 19th July in rest of the world, the film is slated to hit Chinese box-office a week earlier- i e 12th July. Taking into consideration how 'Lion King' could hurt the box-office prospects of '2.0' movie, the distributor planned to avoid a clash with it. So, the movie's release in China stands canceled for now and a fresh release may be announced soon.

Chinese fans of Superstar, who're waiting to see the film will be in for a disappointment with this news. Akshay Kumar's Padman was HY Media's previous release in China, and that film left them in huge losses. Some of the Indian movies which did phenomenal business in China include Aamir Khan's PK, Dangal and Baahubali series.
