Huge applause for 'The Irishman' and 'Midsommar'

Mumbai Academy of Moving Images (MAMI) International Film Festival has been a hot topic all over the world. So many much-awaited movies are currently getting screened at this prestigious film festival.

A total of six movies got screened at MAMI yesterday and two of the films which gained critical acclaim. They are 'The Irishman' and 'Midsommar'. Touted to be an epic crime film starring Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci, the story represents the 2004 memoir I Heard You Paint Houses by Charles Brandt. Martin Scorsese helmed this project. The outstanding performances and engaging narration have made the film a winner, and the film received so much appreciation.

On the other hand, folk horror drama, 'Midsommar' written and directed by Ari Aster with Florence Pugh, Jack Reynor, in the lead roles, also succeeded in receiving huge applause.
