Director Atlee Kumar, who is popular for films like Raja Rani, Mersal, Theri and a lot more, was in town to promote his upcoming film Bigil, which is releasing in Telugu as Whistle. A press meet was held where Atlee spoke about his love for Telugu films.

He said, “Every time my film releases, the first person from Telugu film industry to call and congratulate and appreciate is Jr NTR. He says we love your films…keep going. Also, Producer Mahesh sir has always been kind. Telugu audiences and film fraternity have always showered love on me. So I am waiting to show my love for you by making a direct film.”

He added that Whistle is for all the women out there and that they have to watch the film and make their men also watch it. He said he made this film for women only, and that it deals with all the issues women face. He said he will be announcing the details of his Telugu film very soon with a lovable actor.
