Veteran film actress and senior character artist Geethanjali has breathed her last on Thursday early morning at Apollo Hospitals in Film Nagar, Hyderabad due to cardiac arrest.
Geethanjali, who made her acting debut in Tollywood with 1961's Seetharama Kalyanam featuring Sr NTR, has experience of working on several super hit movies like Kaalam Marindhi, Sambarala Rambabu, Dr. Chakravarty, Murali Krishna, Devatha, Letha Manasulu, Abbai Garu Ammai Garu and many more. She also has impressed the audiences through TV serials.
Having acted in multiple languages including Hindi, Malayalam & Kannada, Geethanjali has made a name for herself in other industries too. Her husband Ramakrishna, who also was an actor in Tollywood, passed away in 2001. The senior's actress has lastly acted in Tamannaah starrer 'That is Mahalakshmi' (Queen remake) which is yet to be released. She is survived by son Adith Srinivas, who tested his luck as a hero with the film 'Bhuma'.
