Even though actress Rashmika Mandanna made her debut with 'Chalo', she went on to become popular with Vijay Devarakonda starrer 'Geetha Govindham'. Recently, the svelte lady has turned down the 'Jersey' remake offer in Bollywood. Rumours emerged that Rashmika denied the offer because she had demanded a massive pay cheque for the project. Recently, the Bheeshma reacted to those speculations.
When I was offered the Jersey remake offer, I thought I may not be able to do the justice to my character. The female character in Jersey requires huge involvement from the actress, and I wasn't prepared for it.' - Rashmika said by adding that 'Jersey is a massive remake. The success and failure of any film depends on the performance of hero and heroine. A cinema is not just about money making, the effort and hardwork we make is important.
Directed by Gautam Tinnanuri, Jersey features Nani and Shraddha Srinath in lead roles. The film which released earlier this year has opened to amazing response from the audiences. Now, it is being made in Bollywood with Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur. The director of original version, Gautam Tinnanuri, himself is going to direct in Hindi as well. Dil Raju and Allu Aravind will be producing Jersey remake in Hindi.
