Actor Siddharth is well known for voicing out his opinions boldly and never hesitates to take a stand. The actor, asking with 600 other people including singer TM Krishna, has carried out a protest against CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) at Vallavur Kottam in Chennai on Friday. But, it's an unlawful assembly that did take place without any permission.
So the Chennai police officials have booked Sid and 600 others under IPC section 143 for violating the laws and filed an FIR against them. Hours before he staged the protest, Siddharth took to his Twitter page saying: I'm getting tweet threats for me and my loved ones to be fixed, arrested, etc. from several handles that are followed by PM @narendramodi. We are trying to speak our minds in a free country. Ugly words and draconian laws will not choke voices of dissent. We will prevail! Jai Hind.
On the acting front, the actor has two films in the making- Shaitan Ka Bachcha and Indian-2. While Sid is playing the leading role in Shaitan Ka Bachcha, he will be seen in a key role in Kamal Haasan starrer Indian-2.
