Coronavirus has impacted all sectors including FMCG, IT, Airline, Movie industry and more. The film industry is suffering a massive crisis due to the deadly virus which emerged from China. Films that are scheduled for release have been postponed and shootings were canceled. Due to it, Bollywood producers are facing heavy loss and trade analysts are estimating that Covid-19 has led to a loss of 1000 Cr in the entertainment industry.

Baaghi-3, which released on 6th March, has garnered a good response and collected around 100 Cr in the first week. When the film is on its way to 200 Cr at the box-office, theaters have been shut down all across the country. It has severely disappointed makers of Baaghi-3 and nobody knows when theatres will be functional again. In the meantime, other movies may stride into theatres and certainly, there will be no interest in Baaghi-3.

On another hand, Angrezi Medium also received positive reviews and collected 50 Cr in the first 3 days of release. But, theatres were closed from the next day and producers are in for a huge loss.

Other major releases in this season Brahmastra and Suryavanshi also got postponed. Also, the shoots were stalled and it all led a loss of 1000 Cr in just 10 days. For South Industry, the loss is estimated at around 200-300 Cr.
