Life has been put on hold is almost all sectors due to the Coronavirus crisis. While India is seeing an increase in Covid-19 cases, the film industry is struggling to cope with it. The WHO declared global pandemic has not just impacted box-office numbers of movies running in theaters and new film releases, but the opening launch events of several upcoming movies have also been either put on hold or postponed.

As per the Film Nagar sources, many films were scheduled for the official launch on an auspicious day - Ugadi, i.e 25 March. But, they're now put on hold considering the coronavirus spread and to practice social distancing. One of the big-budget films that's supposed to get launched on Ugadi is Superstar Mahesh Babu's forthcoming project in the direction of Parasuram.

Other major Telugu films which are not getting launched on Ugadi are Nagarjuna's Bangarraju (prequel to Soggade Chinni Nayana), Ravi Teja- Trinadha Rao Nakkina's film, B Gopal's film with Nandamuri Balakrishna, Teja's movie with Rana Daggubati & Vikram Kumar-Naga Chaitanya's movie. Tollywood isn't alone, movies across the nation are being hit and waiting for Covid-19 to subside.
