Ever since the 21-day nationwide lockdown has begun in India due to the outbreak of Corona Virus, it has impacted almost every industry including the entertainment field. All film releases have been postponed and it's expected to affect the Summer, Dussehra, and Pongal (2021) release too. The lockdown impact is going to be on every film, but Rajamouli's RRR will have a strong ripple effect.

The multistarrer featuring Young Tiger NTR and Mega Powerstar Ram Charan carries massive hype and craze among audiences. The director has already announced that it would release on 8th January 2021. But, the lockdown is now raising a lot of doubts. Film lovers are trying to understand the impact of lockdown on RRR's theatrical release. To all of them, we have some good news here!

The producer of RRR, Danayya, has iterated that the periodic action film will hit screens on 8th January (as announced earlier). While we are worrying about how the industry is going to get back on track and when shootings will resume, this announcement by the producer tells about the foresight and planning of Rajamouli SS.

But, there is a catch here - the film may not hit screens as planned, if lockdown goes beyond 1 May and without any improvement in the situation.
