Why Pan India Director Made A Small Donation?

April 12, 2020 - 05:46 PM IST Rajamouli

After Baahubali, SS Rajamouli emerged as one of the highest-paid directors in India. As per Tollywood talk, the filmmaker is taking home a whopping remuneration of Rs 50+ Cr. He's quite known for making high budget movies. As far as the budget is concerned, his ongoing project RRR is the costliest Telugu project to date. But, the director who is well-versed in making a larger than life film has donated a measly 5 lakhs to Corona Crisis Charity (CCC), an initiative that is set up to help daily wage workers of the film industry.

RRR producer DVV Danayya & Rajamouli have together announced a donation of Rs 10 lakhs to CCC. But, insider talk is that producer Daanayya himself would've donated Rs 5 lakhs on behalf of Rajamouli too. If we assume Rajamouli himself had donated that money, why would he make such a small donation? Even small heroes, budding stars and actors with no offers in hand are donating in lakhs. But, for a Pan India director like Rajamouli, it is definitely a small amount. So, everyone is wondering why the Baahubali director has come up with such a little donation.
