Popular OTT platform Disney+Hotstar recently came up with a big announcement that 7 Bollywood films are going to be released in their platform from July to October. They have organized a live program with the actors from five films including Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, and Varun Dhawan.
Two heroes Vidyut Jammwal, Kunal Khemu were upset with the development because Vidyut Jammwal's 'Khuda Haafiz' and Kunal Khemu's 'Lootcase' are set for release on Disney+Hotstar. They are saying that they were not invited to the event. They have openly expressed their displeasure over the development.
Vidyut Jammwal tweeted, "A BIG announcement for sure!! 7 films scheduled for release but only 5 are deemed worthy of representation, 2 films, receive no invitation or intimation. It’s a long road ahead. THE CYCLE CONTINUES(sic)".
Kunal Khemu tweetd, "Izzat aur pyaar maanga nahi kamaya jaata hai. Koi na de toh usse hum chhote nahi hote. Bas maidaan khelne ke liye barabar de do chhalaang hum bhi oonchi laga sakte hai” (Respect and love are to be earned and not to be asked for. If someone doesn't give me, it doesn't make me smaller. Just give me the same chance in the ground to play, I will jump higher and show it).
The comments of these heroes assumed significance because of the ongoing nepotism issue.
