Last week, when news came out about Vijay's political party, the actor quickly released a press note clarifying that he has got nothing to do with that party and distanced himself. Besides sending out a clear message to all fans, the actor urged them not to join the political outfit that is registered by his father SA Chandrasekhar without his knowledge. On other hand, Vijay's mother Shobha also said that she isn't a member of that party.
After that, a discussion erupted in TN that things are not well between Vijay and his father. Reacting to it, Chandrasekhar said "I have started Vijay Makkal Iyakkam for fans in 1993. I've registered it as political party with a view to get recognition for members of Vijay Makkal Iyakkam." SA Chandrashekhar is hopeful that Vijay will soon understand his good intentions behind starting the political party and added "I don't mind going behind bars, if Vijay proceeds with a legal case for using his pictures."
As a founder of Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, SA Chandrashekhar claims full rights to turn it into a political party. 'The differences are quite common between a son and father. Without the knowledge of Vijay, several things are happening around him and even the press note which is out also is not issued by Vijay,' says Chandrasekhar. It remains to be seen how Vijay will react to the fresh statements by his father.
