Veteran Tamil comedian and Padma Sri award winner Vivek passed away this early morning at Chennai, in a private hospital where he is undergoing treatment. Vivek passed away in Chennai at the age of 59 on Saturday morning.

Yesterday, Vivek has been rushed to a Chennai hospital after he suffered a cardiac arrest. The doctors revealed that Vivek had a 100% blockage in the LAD (left anterior descending artery) vessel which led to a massive cardiac arrest. The doctors operated on him but announced that his condition was critical. This morning, around 5 AM, the doctors declared him dead and his family members took him to home for performing the final rites.

Vivek acted with superstars Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ajith, Suriya, Vijay, and many other actors. His performances in Boys, Aparichithudu, Raghuvaran Btech, Sivaji and many other films are loved by the Telugu audiences.

We pray that the family gains strength at this moment and may Vivek's soul rest in peace.
