Megastar Chiranjeevi teamed up with Meher Ramesh for a new film titled Bhola Shankar. It is an official remake of the 2015 Tamil film Vedhalam, starring Ajith and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles. The first look poster of Bhola Shankar was revealed a few weeks ago on the occasion of Chiru's birthday. Keerthy Suresh will be seen as Chiru's sister in the movie.

As the film revolves around the brother and sister relationship, the makers featured Chiru and Keerthy in the first look poster. But there were many speculations about the lead actress. As per the latest buzz, Tamannaah will be seen as the female lead in this movie. She will reprise Shruti's role from the original. Apparently, the makers held talks with Tamannaah and the latter gave her nod as well. The shoot of Bhola Shankar will begin soon. Tamannaah and Chiranjeevi acted earlier together in the film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
