Young actress Sree Leela made a scintillating debut in Tollywood with the latest release Pelli SandaD. Now, she has landed in a controversy regarding her father's identity. Recently, the Surapaneni Society released a poster regarding Pelli SandaD and stated that Sree Leela is the daughter of popular industrialist Surapaneni Subhakar Rao. However, Subhakar Rao clarified that he is not Sree Leela's father.

He said that Sree Leela is the daughter of his ex-wife and she was born after their separation. Rao alleged that his name is being used to claim his assets. He added that he will proceed legally in this matter. Apparently, some of the cases are still pending in court. "A few cases have been resolved in the family court while some others shifted from High Court to the Supreme Court," said Rao.

"I have also complained to the Surapaneni Society regarding this matter," he further added. The 20-year-old actress was born in the United States and brought up in Bangalore. She made her acting debut with the 2019 Kannada film Kiss. Pelli SandaD marks her Telugu debut. Directed by Gowri Ronanki, this movie features Rosshan as the lead hero.
