Generally, we see many senior actresses making a comeback after taking a long break from films. Even this year, we are going to witness the comeback of a few senior heroines. Have a look at them:

1. Amala Akkineni

After a long gap, Amala Akkineni made her acting come back in Telugu with the 2012 film Life is Beautiful. Later, she was seen in a blink and a miss role role in Manam. She is now coming up with Tamil-Telugu bilingual film Kanam (Oke Oka Jeevitham in Telugu). Directed by Sree Karthik, this film features Sharwanand in the lead role. This movie marks Amala's comeback into the Tamil industry after 20 years and the Telugu industry after 10 years.

2. Archana

Archana is a National Award winning actress who was seen in movies like Daasi, Nireekshana and Ladies Tailor. She is now making her comeback with Chor Bazaar, which is being directed by Jeevan Reddy. Akash Puri plays the lead hero in it. This film marks her comeback into Telugu cinema after 28 years.

3. Renu Desai

Pawan Kayan's ex-wife Renu Desai acted in films Badri and Johnny. After almost two decades, she is now making her comeback with Ravi Teja's upcoming film Tiger Nageswara Rao, which is being directed by Vamsee.

4. Genelia

Genelia, who used to be a star in the 2000s, was last seen in the 2012 film Naa Ishtam. After more than a decade, she is now coming back with an untitled project which features Gaali Janardhan Reddy's son Kireeti in the lead role.

5. Colors Swathi

After getting married, Swathi stayed away from films. She was last seen in the 2017 movie London Babulu. After five years, she is making her comeback. She is currently acting in two films, Panchatantram and Idiots.
