Pratap Pothan is one of the senior actors in the South film industry who is also famous in Bollywood. The sensational actor has been working relentlessly to entertain the audience. Unfortunately, we lost him this morning. Pratap was found dead in his Chennai apartment this morning, and his worker found him lying lifelessly in the bed.

Pratap has an experience of over 40 years in the film industry. He acted in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and Hindi languages. He also directed a few movies that bought him a huge name and fame.

Prathap acted in more than 100 films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. He made his debut with the 1978 movie Aaravam, which was directed by Bharathan. He directed a total of 12 films in Tamil and Malayalam.

He was last seen in Mammooty's recent Malayalam film CBI 5. He also acted in the Telugu film Grey, directed by Raj Madiraju which is reportedly his last film.

Prathap married actress Radhika in 1985. They got divorced in 1986. Later, Prathap married Amala Satyanath. They got separated in 2012.
