Superstar Mahesh Babu is currently working on an interesting film under the direction of Trivikram Srinivas. The untitled film is in the pre-production stage and the makers are yet to arrive at a final clarity regarding the film's heroine. The film unit is working hard on finalizing a heroine for the secondary female lead but no one is fitting the requirement, say the reports.

Mahesh is expected to start shooting for his next film SSMB 28, once the shoots of Telugu films get resumed. Directed by Trivikram, this film features Pooja Hegde as the female lead.

SSMB 28 is the third film in the combination of Mahesh and Trivikram, after Athadu and Khaleja. It is slated for a summer 2023 release.
