Tamil star hero Ajith Kumar was last seen in the movie Valimai. Directed by H. Vinoth, this action thriller was released earlier this year and ended up as an average venture at the box office.

After Nerkonda Parvaai and Valimai, Ajith and Vinoth teamed up for the third time for another film. This untitled project used to be tentatively called AK 61.

Recently, the makers have officially announced this movie's title. It has been titled Thunivu. The title has been announced with the first look poster.

Ajith looks ultra stylish by sporting grey hair and a grey beard. He struck a stunning pose by holding a rifle in his hand.

Malayalam actress Manju Warrier is playing the female lead in this movie. Reportedly, Thunivu features Samuthirakani, GM Sundar, John Kokken, Ajay and Veera in the other key roles.

It is being bankrolled by Boney Kapoor. We hear that the makers are planning to release the film during Pongal festive season in 2023.
