Thaman is one of the successful music composers in South cinema. The music director is currently working on a couple of interesting projects. He recently worked on an exciting film Godfather. Mohan Raja is the film's director.

Interestingly, Thamanposted a cryptic tweet about the sequel of Godfather. While Mohan Raja was returning to Chennai after wrapping up all the works of Godfather, he wrote, "After finishing all My Works of #Godfather this Travel to Homeland Chennai is So Special. Landed in Hyd almost 2 yrs before as a Tamil director. Now leaving with full Satisfaction & People Recognizing n Congratulating at the Airport. Thanks Hyd. Thanks to the Telugu people. Will Return Soon."

Quoting his tweet, Godfather's music director Thaman wrote, "#GodFather2 Dear @jayam_mohanraja #Qureshi returns The Other Actor U Know Who ITs Goona Be !! Make it super soon."

He made a clear indication that the sequel is on cards.
