S.S. Rajamouli has become a big achievement in the country with his latest action-drama feature 'RRR'. He is being identified globally as an ace filmmaker, and this is a rare feat for any Indian filmmaker. Although all this is post 'RRR', the film that brought him such market is 'Baahubali' duology.
Needless to say, 'Baahubali' has put up not his but the whole Indian film market across the world. Such is the reach of the film. Knowing Rajamouli, it would be more than vacuous to reject an offer from him, that too for 'Baahubali'.
Well, Lakshmi Manchu says otherwise.
In a recent interview with the media, she said that Rajamouli offered her the role of Sivagami - Queen & Mother of Baahubali. Even Rajamouli said that there was a big cast list for this role, which included Late. Sridevi, but finally, it reached Ramyakrishna. Speaking about the rejection, Lakshmi went on to say that regardless of the project, she didn't want to act as a Mother for Prabhas.
That's the reason for her rejection, and she felt great about the success of the film as she thought doing the role might just limit her to such roles!
