Nandamuri Balakrishna has completed 50 years as an actor. To mark this occasion, the Telugu film industry organized a grand Golden Jubilee celebration in Hyderabad on Sunday. Along with Tollywood celebrities, other film industry personalities and politicians gathered to honor him. Directors who have worked with Balakrishna, along with movie stars such as Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Srikanth, Rana, Nani, Gopichand, Shiva Rajkumar, Upendra, Raghavendra Rao, B. Gopal, Paruchuri Brothers, Siddu Jonnalagadda, Vijay Deverakonda, Allari Naresh, and producers like D. Suresh Babu, Gemini Kiran, Suhasini, Indraja, Malashree, and Sumalatha were present at the event.
Shyamala Devi, wife of Krishnam Raju, honored Balakrishna with a shawl. Balakrishna's family members, along with political leaders, attended the ceremony. All the guests congratulated Balakrishna on his milestone.
Director Raghavendra Rao entertained the guests by dancing to the song 'Jai Balayya' from the movie Veerasimha Reddy. Balakrishna, along with Chiranjeevi, greeted the guests, making it a special highlight of the event. Megastar Chiranjeevi greeted MLA Raghurama Krishnaraju by saying 'RRR' in his unique style.
Boyapati Srinu said, "I congratulate the Telugu film industry for coming together like this. It is very difficult to do 110 films, congratulations on completing 50 years in cinema. You should continue making films as long as you have patience, as long as you have breath. We are with you. 'Jai Balayya' is a mantra; as long as there is energy in it, it will continue to resonate, even at Universal Studios. Historians are rarely born, but NTR, who was one such figure, gave birth to a great man who has been serving in acting and politics like him. He will definitely stand up for anyone who asks for help. He said that while others may get nervous with age, Balayya becomes more powerful."
Anil Ravipudi said, "Talking about Balayya is a blessing. If you want to write dialogues about him, they will come naturally from Balayya. They emerge from his body language. It is possible only for him to excel as an actor, a politician, and a humane person."
Dil Raju, Sana Buchi Babu, and Gopichand took the stage and chanted slogans of "Jai Balayya."
AP Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh said, "On behalf of the Andhra Pradesh state government, we are thankful to Balayya, who has acted for a long time and made films for Telugu people all over India for 50 years. It is a pleasure to participate in this program with him today. We will be sitting with him in the assembly. I pray that his fame will remain like this for 100 years. The Chief Minister could not attend due to floods, so I have come on his behalf. Balayya should continue in the fields of cinema, medical education, and politics. I wish God blesses you with strength for a hundred years."
Thaman said, "I am very happy to have been given the opportunity to compose music for films like Akhanda and Veera Simha Reddy. Jai Balayya!"
Sumalatha said, "I have done two films with Balayya. As far as I know, he is very simple and speaks from the heart. His journey is exemplary. I want him to continue excelling in the fields of cinema and politics."
Kamal Haasan (Video): "Balayya is someone remembered by everyone for his culture. He has only one god and teacher—his father, NTR. Balayya is pure-minded and free-spirited. I wish him health and prosperity for a hundred years."
Manchu Vishnu said, "I am where I am today because of my father and Balayya. Balakrishna is playful at heart. His heart is pure. No one else has done as much service as Balayya has in the medical field."
Rana Daggubati said, "I was born on the day of the release of Balakrishna's film, and that's why I am a bit mischievous. Jai Balayya!"
Nani said, "Balayya's film journey is 10 years older than I am. Once you meet him, you can't help but like him as soon as you see him up close. You should make another 100 films like this and live for 100 years."
I Want to Do a Faction Movie with Balayya: Padma Vibhushan Chiranjeevi
Chiranjeevi said, "We are very happy to be part of this celebration of 50 years of Balayya Babu. I see it as a celebration not just for Balayya but for Telugu cinema as a whole. Balayya has achieved a rare record. NTR has a special place in people's hearts, and it is not an easy feat for Bala Krishna to win over audiences by playing the roles once portrayed by his father. He has proven himself as a son worthy of his father's legacy. Samara Simha Reddy inspired me to do the film Indra. I have a desire to do a faction film with Balayya. My challenge to both Boyapati Srinu and YVS Chaudhary is to make a movie with both of us. Sometimes fans get into fights, but we used to do certain ceremonies to show fans that there is a good relationship between heroes. That's why our fans are so close. Whenever something auspicious happens in our house, Balayya must come, and everyone dances together. In this journey of 50 years, Balayya still has the honor of acting as a hero. I pray to God to give Balayya the same energy for 100 years. His service in the fields of politics and medical care is invaluable. We are like a family. I hope fans understand this and remain united. Long live Balayya!"
Nandamuri Balakrishna said, "Today, I would like to thank all my fans, my fellow actors, and everyone who has worked with me from the bottom of my heart. I will keep all of you in my heart, as well as my parents who gave birth to me. I would also like to thank my family, the producers, directors, actors, artists, technical team, my hospital team, the people of Hindupur, and my fans for making this celebration a grand success. Special thanks to our Association, Producers Council, Chamber, Shreyas Media, Sai Priya Construction, and others who were behind this event. Acting was not the only thing I learned from my father. I also learned discipline, punctuality, and culture. I also learned these values from Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Although we all compete in the film industry, it is always a healthy competition. I am in the fields of cinema, politics, and medical services, and I am indebted to everyone who has contributed to my success. I also want to thank my wife Vasundhara, who supports me in everything I do."
Union Minister Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani said, "Thanks to Balayya, who has completed 50 years of breaking records. We grew up watching you; you are our inspiration. You are an example to us in loving family and adapting to the changing times even as we grow older."
Manchu Mohan Babu said, "Greetings to all who have come from all over India. Balayya has been a different and unique actor since childhood. Balayya has the honor of acting in a film that ran for more than 500 days. It is a joy to see him elected as the MLA of Hindupur for three terms. I pray to God that you will remain safe and healthy."
Shiva Raj Kumar said, "We are like family. I am like a younger brother to him. I am very happy to have acted in the same film with him. We used to spend time together when we were in Chennai. I hope you celebrate 100 years like this."
Venkatesh said, "Coming from NTR's family, Balayya Babu has earned a special place for himself. He has a unique specialty. Your 50-year journey is a role model for many newcomers." Venkatesh entertained with the dialogue, "Flute jinka mundu oodu, simham mundu kaadu."
The event also featured appearances by Vijayendra Prasad, Manchu Vishnu, Manchu Lakshmi, Gopichand, Padmasri Brahmanandam, Shiva Balaji, Raja Ravindra, Raghu Babu, producers Abhishek Aggarwal, Asian Sunil, Cherukuri Sudhakar, Mythri Movies' Ravi, Dil Raju, KL Narayana, Suresh Babu, Gemini Kiran, and others. Representatives from the Telugu Film Producers Council, Secretaries Tummala Prasanna Kumar, YVS Chaudhary, Damodar Prasad, the President and Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce, Bharat Bhushan, Anil from the Film Federation, and Anupam Reddy from the Telangana State Chamber of Commerce were present. Balakrishna was celebrated with more slogans of "Jai Balayya." The ceremony was held in a grand manner with actors Nirosha, Jeevitha Rajasekhar, P. Vasu from Tamil cinema, and other big names from the film industry, making the event a grand success.
