Allu Arjun's highly anticipated film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, is set for a grand release on December 5.
The team has reportedly proposed a significant hike for the movie's premiere, with ticket prices increasing by up to ₹800. For the regular shows during the first week, a hike of ₹150 to ₹200 is being requested. While the move aims to capitalize on the film's massive buzz, it has also raised concerns, especially among middle-class and family audiences, who might find the steep prices a strain on their budgets.
The issue has now reached the Telangana High Court, with a petition challenging the proposed price hike. Critics argue that such increases could limit accessibility for ordinary moviegoers.
The court is scheduled to hold a hearing on the matter this Tuesday, and the outcome could set a precedent for future high-profile film releases in the region.
