Fans are already buzzing about his next project, tentatively titled SSMB29, starring Superstar Mahesh Babu. Set against the backdrop of African forests, the film is described as a globetrotting adventure, and speculation about its female lead has been rife for months.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, National Award-winning actress Priyanka Chopra has been cast as the leading lady in this highly anticipated project.

The report states, “Rajamouli was keen on an actress with global appeal, and Priyanka Chopra fit the bill perfectly. Over the past few months, the director held multiple discussions with the actress, and she has now agreed to join the film.”

The report also reveals that SSMB29 will mark Priyanka’s return to Indian cinema after six years. The film reportedly offers significant scope for the female lead, including action sequences, and Priyanka has already begun preparations for her role.

The ambitious project is expected to commence shooting in April 2025.
