Director Shankar, who is known for his path-breaking cinema, has been off the track over the last few years. While his last year's release, Indian 2 ended up as one of the biggest disasters of Tamil cinema, his recent film Game Changer also ended up as a big flop.

Meanwhile, Shankar says that as Game Changer is finished, he will now focus on Indian 3. Speaking in a recent interview, He said that Indian 3 works will be completed in the next six months. He said that there is huge VFX work that has to be done and a few days of shoot is also left.

After Indian 2's colossal flop, it was rumoured that Indian 3 will have a direct OTT release. However, Shankar confirmed that the movie will be released in theatres. Recently, Indian 2's production house, Lyca Productions, filed a complaint in the court requesting to stop Game Changer's release in Tamil Nadu alleging that Shankar failed to complete Indian 3 as promised.

Now, as Shankar affirms that he will focus on Indian 3, people are expecting it to hit the screens by the end of this year or early next year.

In the interview, Shankar said that normally, he finishes his movies in a year but his last few projects like Indian 2, Indian 3 and Game Changer have been postponed for many years due to various unforeseen circumstances like COVID-19 pandemic, dates scheduling issues and other factors.
