After collaborating for the critically acclaimed and commercially successful 2009 film Eeram (Vaishali in Telugu), hero Aadi Pinishetty and director Arivazhagan teamed up for yet another interesting horror thriller titled Shabdham. Lakshmi Menon plays the female lead in the movie while 7G Shiva produced the project. The trailer of the film was released just about a while ago.
At the beginning of the trailer, we get introduced to a young woman who is battling a rare condition known as 'audio hallucination'. Due to this condition, there will be some unsettling and horrific sounds that only she can hear. Aadi plays the role of a paranormal investigator who decides to take on her mysterious case. Later in the trailer, it is hinted that a ghost is using sonic and supersonic sounds to harass victims.
The visuals of the trailer are interesting and it looks like we are about to witness a genuine horror thriller after a long time. The trailer definitely raises anticipation and we have to see if the film lives up to it or not. Shabdham's music is composed by Thaman. Simran, Laila, Redin Kingsley, MS Baskar, Rajiv Menon and Vivek Prasanna essayed other important roles in it. The film is slated for a worldwide release in Tamil and Telugu on February 28.
