Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has officially confirmed his brother, Konidela Nagababu, as the Jana Sena candidate for the upcoming MLC elections under the MLA quota. As the party’s state general secretary, Nagababu has been entrusted with filing his nomination, securing one of the five available seats.
A campaign advocating for Nagababu’s selection had been gaining momentum, and Pawan Kalyan’s announcement has now made it official. Recently, Pawan Kalyan held a crucial discussion with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, reportedly lasting an hour, with Nagababu’s candidacy as the key agenda.
Initially, there were speculations about Nagababu being inducted into the cabinet, but after facing negative feedback on social media, the Jana Sena reconsidered its strategy.
There were also discussions about positioning him for a Rajya Sabha seat, but with this MLC nomination, his political path has taken a definitive turn.
