Heroine Darshana Banik, who is making her Telugu debut with Aatagallu is really excited about the project. The film is releasing on August 24 and this Kolkata-based girl can’t ask for more.
Darshana has been part of around seven Bengali films till now. When asked about how she started he career, she said, “My friends sent my pics for a beauty pageant show. I was not interested at all. Later I
was selected and they asked me to give the audition. My father encouraged me to do it and give it a try. Then I was selected by PC Jewellers as their brand ambassador as they wanted to introduce a fresh face. That’s how I got into modelling,” said Darshana.
The actor studied Bachelors of Arts in Honours English and was studious always. “My mother wanted to see me as an actor and I wasn’t interested with this field. She passed away two years ago and now I want to fulfil her dream by continuing in this profession,” added the Bengali.
Darshana is happy about being a part of Aatagallu. The actor says that the makers of the film have taken a lot of care about her on the sets and treated them like their daughter. “Rohit was a lot encouraging. He supported and helped me with the dialogues on sets. Thanks to all of them for helping me during all the thick and thin,” she concluded.
