Performances:
Avantika Mishra: Playing the actual lead of the film, she did an impressive job as Meghna – the girl with extra sensory perception. She was elegant both in the character and her outfits as well. She was both cute and hot in the film. Apart from getting her dialog delivery right and the dubbing lapse, she pulled it off with ease and poise.
Harshavardhan Rane: This chocolate boy has made the essential cut with this film where he outshined with two different shades. He was appealing and his act in the film has promoted him to a notch higher as an actor.
Nandini Rai: She is yet another sizzler in the film and has a key role to play as ‘Vaishali’ (protagonist’s love interest).
Sushma Raj: This girl was the main head turner in the film. Be it glamor or acting, she delivered a stellar in the film and has huge surprise for you [Don’t miss the climax!]
Rest of the cast including Nagendra Babu, Jhansi, Anitha Chowdary, Jabardast Venu and the rest of the cast make this thriller appealing and engaging.
Direction:
Neelakanta, a unique filmmaker who has carved a niche for him with films like Show, Missamma etc has made yet another unique attempt. Concepts like these are very rare in Telugu cinema and this movie has come in a good season where genre films are actually finding some audience. With respect to the unique attempt, Neelakanta has given his best in telling an off-beat storyline in the best commercial format he could.
First Half: This segment takes it time to settle down and introduce you to the core of this suspense thriller.
Interval Bang: Though the interval bang is predictable, you have enough questions, doubts, predictions and anticipations about the second half.
Second Half: The story progresses in its own pace and the last 20mins of the film is indeed the key asset of the film.
Merits:
* Good storyline and intense story telling.
* Well researched script and able conceptualization.
* Lead Cast performance especially that of Harshvardhan Rane, Sushma Raj and Avantika Mishra.
* Appealing re-recording.
* The last 20mins of the film, especially the climax.
De-merits:
- Lack of exclusive comedy track and formulaic entertainment segments might disappoint the common commercial entertainment lovers.
- This intense thriller would have been more edgy and thrilling without the songs.
Music:
Shekar Chandra gave a good commercial album with catchy tunes and the re-recording was decent enough to make this suspense thriller more intense.
Others:
The promotional song ‘Pokiri Raja’ and other promotional content of the film was intriguing enough to pull the crowd.
