Rating: 2.5/5
Story Line:
Mohan Babu plays the role of a stage artist named Dasari Shivaji is all alone after his daughter is parted and his wife Sharadha(Shriya Saran) also passes away. He takes a crime blame on him and gets jailed for money. He uses the money for the welfare of orphan kids. In this frame of context, he gets into a big trouble which changes his entire life. The entry of Gayatri Patel is a big twist which is to be watched in the theaters only.
Roles and Performances:
Mohan Babu appears as Dasari Shivaji and Gayatri Patel. His screen presence is so dominating that all the other actors fade out before his role.
Vishnu has justified his role well. Shriya Saran appears very beautiful. Anasuya is good as a journalist. Other actors justified their roles well.
Analysis:
Gayatri is a routine movie, but well plotted. The first half of the movie is really slow and tests the patience of the viewers. It is the same until the introduction of Gayatri Patel. The second half is better with the flashback. The viewers get to connect with the series of events and here everything turns interesting. The chemistry between Vishnu and Shriya Saran came out well.
Mohan Babu has lived up to the expectations.
Technical Aspects:
The screenplay is good with proper placement of twists. SS Thaman's music is not in sync with the story narration. Production values are good. Camera work is to be appreciated.
Plus Points:
+ Mohan Babu's action
+ Pre-climax twists
Minus Points:
- Slow Narration
- Lack of humor...
Final Verdict: Mohan Babu's intense action is impressing. Once watchable.
