Rangasthalam- A theater where the artists "Perform". Seems like the makers have got a bunch of artists performing to create their own mark in Rangasthalam. Under the directorial assistance of Sukumar, Ram Charan and Samantha starrer Rangasthalam hits the screens today. With a mounted pre-release buzz, the movie is expected to be a big hit. Read on for the full review of Rangasthalam.
STORYLINE:
Rangasthalam is a village in which the feudal lord makes it difficult for the residents to live. The farmers are attacked with loads of loans and their farming lands are being grabbed. Chitti Babu is the resident of Rangasthalam. He works as a source to irrigate the farms in the village. Kumara Babu a Dubai return is Chitty Babu's brother. Kumara Babu identifies the nefarious activities in the village and decides to participate in the village elections for the President position. This decision is invited by a local MLA and here comes the twist in the tale. How Chitty Babu falls for Rama Lakshmi who is shown working in the farms is to be watched in the theater. Also, who the real bug is, how did Chitty Babu contribute to ending the chaotic situation in Rangasthalam is the rest of the story.
ROLES & PERFORMANCES:
If you were in an oblivion regarding Mega Power Star Ram Charan's acting skills, here he is, with one of the finest performances on the screens. Can easily state that Chitti Babu is one role an actor would yearn for.Ram Charan must be lauded for his exceptional work. His prowess, he'll be remembered as Chitti Babu forever. What Samantha stated in the pre-release event is true. What Swayam Krishi for Chiru, Rangasthalam is for Ram Charan.
Samantha Akkineni is a brilliant actress. Her appearance is not only sprightly represented but also beautiful. Samantha as an 80's village girl is just amazing. Rama Lakshmi is one of the best roles in Rangasthalam. Samantha breaks her stereotypes by even accepting the role.
Anasuya Bharadwaj as Rangamatta is apt. Her role is well-written and well-executed. There are some bright moments where Anasuya dominates. Rangamatta and Chitty Babu combination scenes are too good.
Jagapathi Babu's role is well-built with a powerful appeal. As a nefarious feudal lord, Jaggu Bhai excels.
Aadi Pinisetty has done a wonderful job as Kumara Babu. It is already established that Aadi is a good performer.
Prakash Raj steals some moments. His acting is just as good as always.
ANALYSIS:
Sukumar's well-written plot is interwoven. The First Half of Rangasthalam is a fun to watch. But, the next half had a drag. The narration is dragged here and there. The revelation of the villain should have been planned more carefully. One thing which is to be appreciated is the comedy track. There is no forced comedy or any cooked up scenes to deliberately create humor. The role of Ram Charan is an exemplifying write-up. The screenplay is fine. Except for the stretched narration, everything about Rangasthalam is so beautiful.
TECHNICAL ASPECTS:
Rangasthalam has got the best technical essence. The cinematography by is just phenomenal. The rich capture of the beautiful frames just blows your mind.
Devi Sri Prasad proved that he is a Rockstar, yet again. Devi Sri Prasad must be given the bigger portion of credits for his excellent music. All the songs are chartbusters and well placed in the movie too. The bgm is just mind-blowing. Sukumar's best to date. Myrhti Movie Makers have given very good production values. Screenplay and editing must have been better.
FINAL VERDICT:
It is a beautiful movie. It will touch the hearts for sure. Any superlative used to describe RAM CHARAN would go flat. He's lived up to the expectations and even more. Go grab your tickets.
