After experiencing two back to back flops, Superstar Mahesh Babu is on a huge pressure to deliver a blockbuster at any cost. At this juncture, Mahesh Babu collaborated with talented & intelligent writer-director Koratala Siva for Bharat Ane Nenu movie.
This film got a huge buzz as their previous outing-Srimanthudu turned out as the best film in Mahesh’s career. Adding to this, Mahesh Babu is donning a Chief Minister’s role in Bharat Ane Nenu movie and also touted as the first full-fledged political subject based film in his entire career.
Story:
Bharat Ram (Mahesh Babu) takes over the Chief Minister’s post under the advice of Varadarajulu (Prakash Raj) after his father’s (Sarath Kumar) untimely death. As Bharat Ram takes charge as CM, he gets shocked to see the common public and their behaviour in the society.
He starts taking some measures to correct the people and it makes him the most loved CM of the people. These initiatives make his fellow politicians unhappy and they try to put blockades to bring him down from the CM’s chair. How he faced those challenges? Did he become successful in implementing the new changes as CM?
These answers will be unfolded on the silver screen.
Actors & Performances:
Mahesh Babu: He is very much apt to the role of Chief Minister. His acting skills as the sincere and accountable CM are superb. He single-handedly took over the film and he remains as the top reason to watch this movie.
Kiara Advani: She is ok in her very few scenes. Kiara Advani has got some decent stuff to be the top league heroine and she has done justice to her part. Unfortunately, she didn’t have much to portray her acting skills.
Prakash Raj: As usual, this seasoned actor glittered in some key scenes and as always he did his best for the role.
Actors like R Sarath Kumar, Shivashankar, Posani Krishnamurali gave their best in the limited roles.
Analysis:
Successful Writer-Director Koratala Siva is known for attempting the storylines in which he had immense belief. Even Bharat Ane Nenu’s storyline is of being accountable to the society by having necessary qualities like fear & responsibility.
Coming to the writing part of this film, Koratala Siva took a big gamble of concentrating more on administration drama rather than the political drama in the mainstream commercial political genre film. The screenplay of this film clearly showcases the more importance given to the administration as compared to political games.
He wrote some master stroke dialogues and scenes for the lead role in bits and pieces. They also catered here and there in first and second half. However, the mixing of all ingredients gone wrong in the second half as he tried to include the heroism by keeping some overdose action sequences.
Finally, Koratala Siva emerged in some parts of the movie and this time he is not so successful in creating the special magic of Koratala.
Technical Aspects:
Songs like Vachchadayyo & title track are the best ones in the movie. DSP has done a great job in providing the right BGM in key sequences. Lyrics from Ramajogayya Sastry are good and perfectly suited to the situations.
The cinematography from the two legends – Ravi K Chandran & Tirru is at top notch. Especially the Lighting in some sequences brought weight-age to those particular scenes.
Plus Points:
+ Story Line
+ Mahesh Babu
+ Interval block & Press Meet Scene
+ Cinematography
Minus Points:
- Second Half
- Movie Duration
Final Verdict:
Bharat Ane Nenu is a good film but not a great film.
