As the creative promotions & attractive promos increasing the hype on this movie and even the principal cast is also promising to the audience regarding the Devadas movie success.

Well, these promotion & promises worked for this movie or not is discussed below in the Devadas review.

Story:

Deva (Nagarjuna) is a gangster who returns to Hyderabad after a gap of 10 years. He happens to meet Dr Das (Nani) in a small clinic where he happens to come for the treatment after surviving an attack.

Here Deva & Das slowly develop a special bond between them. Later, Dasu tries to change the criminal mindset of Deva with his friendship. As the story moves on, Deva meets news reader Jahnavi (Akanksha Singh) & Das happens to meet & Pooja (Rashmika).

Did Dasu turn successful in changing Deva or not? How these two ladies connected to Deva & Das? These questions unfold on the silver screen.

Actors & Performances:

Nagarjuna: He is the most charming person in the entire film. His screen presence and looks are extraordinary in the film. Well, his acting is spotless and perfectly filled the shoes of Deva.

Nani: Like his previous films, Nani’s comedy timing once again clicked and he entertains the audience to the fullest as a Doctor.

Rashmika & Aakanksha Singh played their parts in the film.

Sarath Kumar & Kunal Kapoor played the baddies in the movie and actors like Vennela Kishore, Murli Sharma, Sathya & Avasarala Srinivas played their roles efficiently.

Analysis:

Bringing two poles apart people together and making them work for a needful purpose is exactly the storyline of this movie.

Director Sriram by keeping the plot in the mind, he designed the best suitable characters for Nagarjuna & Nani as Deva & Das. Sriram scripted some hilarious scenes between these two characters which provide the entertainment to the audience.

Despite having Deva & Das entertainment in the first half, there happens to be a big chance of audience getting disappointed with the content. Well, the main story opens only in the second half and it this half helps the movie as compared to the first half.

By watching some scenes between Deva & Dasu, we get a feeling of Sriram’s direction got influenced by Raju Hirani’s style. However, if the director has taken enough measures in screenplay then the result would have been more fruitful than the present.

Technical Aspects:

Shamdutt’s Cinematography turns out as one of the major highlights of the movie. His visuals are top class. Editing is not up to the mark. BGM from Mani Sharma is good. Production values from Vyjayanthi Movies are grand.

Plus Points:

+ Nagarjuna & Nani
+ Story Point
+ Cinematography

Minus Points:

- First Half
- Screenplay

Final Verdict: Devadas- An Average Entertainer.
