Ram and Anupama Parameshwaran raised some expectations with their pairing up for the film "Hello Guru Prema Kosame". Dil Raju turned the propeller of the film and it goes needlessly to say how important is this film for the hero, the heroine and the producer. Let's get into the details of how this film made its impression on the audience.
Story:
Sanju (Ram) works in a software company as a trainee. He stays in the house of their family friend (Prakash Raj). He falls behind his colleague (Pranitha) but later he discovers that he is actually in love with another girl (Anupama), the daughter of his host (Prakash Raj). But Prakash Raj decides to get her daughter married to an NRI. How the story takes twists and turns from there and how Sanju wins his love forms the rest of narration. A 30 days challenge between Sanju and the heroine's father forms the crux.
Actors and Performances:
Ram excelled as an actor as usual. His energy to carry even a mediocre story on his shoulders is proved again. The film didn't sound more boring only because of his performance.
Pranitha is good with her big expressive eyes.
Anupama wins the hearts of the audience with her performance as a well-mannered daughter in the shadow of her father.
Prakash Raj did his best in a different way with his humorous yet balanced act.
Others are okay in their shoes.
Analysis:
First half is packed with humour while the second half deals with a pact between the protagonist and heroine's father. The film reminds us of Chiranjeevi's Challenge, NTR's Vaddante Dabbu kind of challenges, though there is no resemblance in the emotional graph and a series of events. A simple storyline is dealt with well but the director would have worked more on the romantic track. He proves to be promising but needs to be more attentive towards detailing.
Technical Aspects:
Dialogues are impressive. But some are preachy and verbose. Director handled the film with ease and humour. There is no heaviness in the storyline but it all worked with the screenplay. Music is very average and didn't help for the film to score higher. Had it been a musical hit, the film would have proved to be a better one. Production values are just ok.
Plus Points:
+ Ram and Anupama
+ Screenplay
+ Humour
Minus Points:
- Music
- Predictability
- Weak emotions
