Mega Power Star Ram Charan teamed up with Boyapati Srinu after the successful movie Rangasthalam. It was a tough choice to make, but Charan expressed confidence that Boyapati would give him the right mass image that his fans are expecting from him. DVV Danayya came on board to pool the resources for the movie, and Bharat Ane Nenu fame Kiara Advani was also roped in to be the heroine for the film. Devi Sri Prasad is the music director who failed to impress the music lovers with the audio album and the theatrical trailer too opened to mixed responses. Amidst a considerable buzz, the film released in the theatres and check out the film's review here.

Story:

Rama Konidela (Ram Charan) finds his happiness in his family. His four brothers are everything to him, and he can tolerate anything against them. His brother Bhuvan Kumar (Prashant) is appointed to take care of the Vizag bi-election where he gets troubled by a local good Pandhem Parasuram. After confronting him successfully, it is revealed that Rama has a connection to a Bihari Don Raja Bhai (Vivek Oberoi). Who is Raja Bhai? What is Rama's relationship to Raja Bhai? How did Raja Bhai become a threat to Rama's family? Forms the story of the movie.

Performances:

Ram Charan received huge acclaims as an actor with the movie Rangashalam. People have showered praises on him for the performance as Chitti Babu. But, he does not get any proper chance to perform in the film. All he does is fights and dances, but there is not a single scene where we can look at the actor in Charan. Kiara Advani is a great talent wasted in the film. But, she has made an impression with her pleasant appearance on the screen. Prashant, Aryan Rajesh, Sneha, and others were good, but they have nothing great to perform. Vivek Oberoi is good, but the over-the-top characterization given to him failed to impress. The other actors like Mukesh Rushi, Chalapathi Rao, Hema and others are Okay!

Technical Aspects:

The camera work is excellent in the movie. Both the cinematographers have done a great job in showcasing the film wonderfully on the screen. The music is pathetic. Not even a single song is good from the audio album, and they were not picturized engagingly. The background score is too loud to take, and it has become too routine. The artwork is nice. The dialogues are good in some places and are over-board in some critical situations. The fight scenes are over-the-top as usual. The production values are lavish, but it also looks like a waste of a lot of money.

Analysis:

Vinaya Vidheya Rama is a film by Boyapati Srinu, and at one point, we realize that we can not expect anything more than this. But what's more surprising is a movie like this from him, that too with Ram Charan in the lead. Comparatively, Jaya Janaki Nayaka looks more convincing than Vinaya Vidheya Rama. It is the time that Boyapati should retrospect himself and come out of the mass-masala-action formula and offer something different to the audiences. The first half of the movie is just okay, but it does not have any story in the film. The film looks okay till the interval sequence but the second half of the movie is a big let down. The movie might not appeal for the so-called mass cinema lovers because of improper execution and specific sequences which lack logics where one usually expect them. On the whole, the film is a colossal disappointment from Ram Charan after a massive path-breaking movie Rangasthalam!

Plus Points:

Camera Work
Interval Block
Dance

Minus Points:

DSP music
Story
Boring Screenplay

Final Verdict:
Boredom & Disappointment In the name of Mass-Masala-Movie
