Sundeep Kishan and Anya Singh played the lead roles in the new movie Ninu Veedani Needanu Nene. After a long gap, Sundeep Kishan is back with a movie and interestingly, he is also making his debut as a producer with this movie. The film released today and it marked the debut of a new director Carthick Raju. Check out the review of the film here.

Story:

Rishi (Sundeep Kishan), Diya ( Anya Singh) are a married couple. They are leading a happy life together. Unexpectedly, they begin experiencing some horrific incidents. They start seeing another person's face in the mirror. They get shocked and approaches a psychologist. What happened to them? Who are those in the mirror? What happens in the end? Forms the story of the movie.

Performances:

Sundeep Kishan has delivered a fine performance in this movie. Though his character has so many different variations, he has worked really hard and showcased the variations with ease and energy. His energetic performance is an absolute delight to watch. Anya Singh got a meaty role in this flick and she has nothing important to do in the movie.

The chemistry between the leads is not up to the mark. Vennela Kishore got a decent role in this film and he gave his hundred percent. Murali Sharma and Pragathi acted naturally. As usual, Posani Krishna Murali has delivered a hilarious performance.

Technical Aspects:

Production values by Daya pannam and Viji Subramanian under Venkatadri Talkies are very rich. Music by SS Thaman added more strength for this film. Not only a couple of songs but also his BGM is extraordinary and lifted the scenes. Cinematography by pk Verma is topnotch. Editing by Praveen KL is decent.

Review:

Caarthick Raju has prepared a solid story for the film. When compared to the other horror films, Caarthick Raju has picked up an interesting concept for this film but he failed in executing it. He didn't do justice to the genre and used horror only for thrills. The narrative structure isn't really good. His pace of narration is dead slow. Also, the director has failed to keep the audiences hooked to the storyline.

The first half is filled with so many interesting elements that are majorly formed around the major concept of the movie. The second half turns out a bit serious and intense but nothing really appears impressive. The climax is also not handled well. Overall, 'Ninu Veedani Needanu Nene' disappoints.

Plus Points:

Camera Work

Core Theme

Minus Points:

Loud BGM

Slow Pace

Screenplay

Verdict: Neither Thrilling Nor Horrifying
