The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Big Ben Cinemas. Bharat Kamma is making his debut as a director with the movie. Check out the film's review.

Story:

Chaitanya alias Bobby (Vijay Devarakonda) is a student leader at Kakinada University who suffers from major anger management issues. One day he meets Aparna Devi alias Lily (Rashmika Mandanna) who is a state-level cricket player. After a series of events, Lilly also falls in love with Bobby.

However, their relationship struggles because of Bobby's anger issues. When Lilly starts rethinking about her relationship, a serious incident takes place which damages both Lilly's personal life as well as her career. What is that incident? Can Lilly ever forgive Bobby? Forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

Vijay Devarakonda is truly an asset for this film. His amazing performance added more strength for the film. We can see that no other actor can pull off such a role in the way Vijay did.

Rashmika Mandanna looked effortlessly beautiful and also delivered a mesmerizing performance. She is too good in her role and delivered her best performance in this film. Especially emotional sequences between her and Vijay Devarakonda are heart touching. Shruti Ramachandran got a meaty role in this film and she has acted naturally in the film. All the others are pretty cool in the movie.

Technical Aspects:

The movie somewhat has a complexity with the characters but director Bharat Kamma has handled it in an interesting way. Especially, with the way he chose to narrate the movie, the director has made it even easier for the audience to connect well with the story. Production values by Yash Rangineni under Mythri Movie Makers are luxurious and can be considered as one of the plus points of this film.

Music by Justin Prabhakaran is top-notch. He has produced some amazing tunes for this film and his background score has lifted each and every scene of the film. Cinematographer Sujith Sarang has produced some sleek visuals for the film. His camera angles are also very good. Editing by Sreejith Sarang is clean.

Verdict:

Each and every character in the movie will have their own impact on the story as well as the audience and the way the director has presented the story is beautiful. The screenplay is regular and routine and it lacks freshness.  The movie starts off on an interesting note and makes it easier for the audience to relate to the story. The first half is light-hearted with the romantic scenes between Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Devarakonda. Their scenes will definitely be a delight for the audience to watch.

The second half turns out to be a bit emotional and the scenes between Vijay and Rashmika in the second half are a bit dragged. The stunning performances, beautiful story and background music are the major plus points of this film whereas some of the boring scenes in the second half will be the minus points. To conclude, 'Dear Comrade' is a one-time watch movie.

Performances

Music and BGM
