Touted to be the biggest action thriller in India, the movie Saaho is finally in the theatres. Young Rebel Star Prabhas is playing the lead role while Shraddha Kapoor is making her debut in South with the movie. The makers are pretty happy with the response the trailer has generated. A lot of expectations are there in this movie. Sujeeth is the director while UV Creations bankrolled the movie. Check out the review of the movie here.

Plot:

Ashok (Prabhas) is a cop who is chasing the mystery of a robbery in Mumbai. As he steps close to the robber, something unexpected happens and it blows out all the perspectives. What happened then? Who is the robber? What changes did it bring to Ashok? Forms the story of the movie.

Performances:

Prabhas has delivered his career-best performance in this movie and it is evident that no one can pull off such an intense and challenging role with such ease. The way Prabhas has carried his character will definitely leave an impact on the audience. The hard work Prabhas underwent for the film is visible in each and every frame of the film. Especially his performance in the action sequences is mind-blowing.

Shraddha Kapoor got an interesting role in the film and unlike regular commercial heroines, Shraddha Kapoor got a different kind of role and she will not only grab the attention with her mesmerizing looks but also with her stunning performance in the film.

Neil Nitin Mukesh is truly an asset for this film. His energetic performance and beautiful portrayal is superb. Jackie Shroff will engage the audience with his commendable performance. Lal also delivered a decent performance in the film and the audience will definitely enjoy watching Mandira Bedi on the Silver screens. Vennela Kishore justified his roles. The rest of the actors including a Tinnu Anand, Mahesh Manjrekar, Murali Sharma, etc also made their presence felt.

Technical Aspects:

Before the release of the film, most of the audience have a doubt that how a director like Sujeeth who is just one movie old can make a high budget action thriller with a star hero. But, with the output of this film, Sujeeth has failed to live up to expectations of the movie.  Each and every frame of the movie will grab the attention of the audience. Production values by UV creations and T Series are lavish.

We can say that see that the producers have invested huge amounts for the film with each and every scene in the movie. Cinematography by R Madhi is an absolute delight to watch. His beautiful visuals added more strength for the film. BGM by Ghibran is arresting. The song composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy will also make an impact on the audience. Apart from performances, the technical brilliance of the film will give a memorable watching experience for the audience.

Review:

The director has only focused on showcasing grand visuals and captivating backdrops but failed to narrate a storyline properly with the film. There is no freshness in the story and it is a big minus point. Each and every scene is very beautiful to watch. Especially, the action sequences and the chasing episodes are showcased very well but then the director dragged them and made it lengthy.

The interval and climax scenes are also a letdown. Despite having a lot of commercial elements like comedy, action, romance, etc, 'Saaho' is definitely a regular commercial film without any impact. Also, the star cast in the film failed to add more strength to the film. Overall, 'Saaho' is a huge disappointment.
