After the failure of Check, Nithiin has now come to test his luck with Rang De. Directed by Venky Atluri, this rom-com features National Award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh as the female lead. Rang De has hit the screens all over today and here is the review of it.

Story:
Arjun (Nithiin) and Anupama (Keerthy Suresh) are neighbors since childhood. Arjun cannot stand the presence of Anu because she is a topper and his father always praises her in front of him. Arjun manages to complete his engineering and crack GMAT somehow by following the wrong routes.

Meanwhile, he gets forcibly married to Anu due to an unforeseen incident. Then they shift to Dubai to pursue higher studies. Why Arjun had to marry Anu? How was their married life in Dubai? How they managed to get over the troubles of the relationship? forms the major points of the story.

Performances:
This character is a cakewalk for Nithiin. He suits these kinds of roles and he performed this character with ease. As usual, he also excelled in comic timing and made many scenes work in the film.

Keerthy Suresh also gave an equally good performance in the movie. She did a great job in the emotional scenes that come in the second half.

Seasoned actors like Naresh and Rohini did their job well. Suhas, Vennela Kishore, Abhinav Gomatam, and Brahmaji succeeded in generating laughs in the theatre.

Technical Aspects:
Director Venky Atluri chose a template story for this film. He has set up everything in his comfort zone. The only thing he was supposed to manage is the timing of the actors. In most of the scenes, actors did well and elevated those sequences. However, the narration is very routine and may not appeal to all sections of the viewers.

The first half is filled with comedy scenes and it passes within no time. The second half feels a bit dragged due to the lack of emotional depth in the key scenes.
Maverick DOP PC Sreeram's visuals are a great asset to this film. His work made the film look like a painting. Devi Sri Prasad's songs are breezy and the background score is good. The production values are great as well.

Review:
Rang De follows the same formula of many Telugu romantic comedies that came in the past. At first, the hero and heroine do not get along with each other. Over time, they develop a relationship and cross all the emotional hurdles. Here the director tried to pack it with some well-written comedy scenes. If you just want to watch the movie to pass time and enjoy it, you can opt for Rang De for sure. If you are expecting something new and creative, this film isn't your cup of tea.

Plus Points:
Performances
Few comic scenes
Visuals

Minus Points:
Routine Narration
Few boring scenes

Final Verdict: Rang De falls short of expectations
